
Lighthouse Capital Advisors was founded by James Christian Johnson in 2004. Mr. Johnson has been in real estate consulting since 1995, commencing with real estate brokerage for a regional real estate firm. Mr. Johnson brokered many real property deals during this time, prior to his entrance into commercial real estate appraisal in 1998. While working in appraisal, his main responsibilities included providing real estate valuation and analysis of all types of real property, including Multi-family, Office, Retail, Industrial, and Residential real estate. He has valued properties for conventional lenders, conduit lenders, pension funds and trusts. In addition, he has completed rental studies, cost studies, lease analysis, feasibility studies, and change in use studies for clients.
In 2001, Mr. Johnson accepted a position with Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP to perform commercial and corporate real property consulting services. These services consisted of Cost Segregation (real estate depreciation study) and Property Tax valuation consulting and appeal work. As a Manager with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, Mr Johnson had the responsibility of new business creation, project scoping & selling, overseeing local and regional staff, quantification and delivery of consulting projects, and the negotiation of identified issues with tax officials.
Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Oregon with a major in Political Science and a Business Administration minor.
